Nettle Noo began as a character imagined by Dee's daughter Izzy during their woodland walks. Captivated by Izzy’s character, Dee wrote a rhyming poem to bring the fairy to life. These words became the foundation of her debut children's book.
Alongside writing, Dee is the CEO of KidsBank, (registered children's charity 1190234), which provides essential items such as clothing, toiletries, school supplies and baby equipment to families in need of support. Their work ensures practical support is provided with compassion and dignity, showing the power of kindness in action every single day.
50% of all profits from the sale of the Nettle Noo book will be donated to KidsBank, ensuring that every copy sold will help support families.
Sarah-Leigh Wills

Also known as the ‘Happy Designer’, she has been designing, creating and illustrating children’s books for almost twenty years, with almost a thousand beautifully illustrated books to her credit!
Schooled in graphic design and attaining her degrees at Falmouth University, Sarah-Leigh has won several awards for her creations. In 2007 she founded her own company, Happydesigner.
Having a child-like imagination and thinking and living in pictures, Sarah-Leigh has a unique way of visualising everything she is commissioned to complete. Her creativity and innovation, as well as the fun and energy she brings to every project meant she was the perfect illustrator to bring Nettle Noo and her beautiful world to life.
